Job Description    
As the Senior Specialist you will work closely with agency leaders and project managers to coordinate, ideate and implement talent attraction marketing campaigns for our client communities across the country and around the globe. Building on your own experience with talent attraction marketing campaigns, this is your opportunity to work with a talented team across marketing channels within the agency to help our clients to attract and retain the workforce they need and to strengthen the products and position of DCI in this space. You will report directly to the agency’s Vice President, Talent Attraction.   

As a firm that specializes in attracting visitors, business, and a talented workforce to communities around the world, we are looking for someone who has a passion for places and an understanding of economic development and talent attraction.  

Specific Job Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct qualitative research via on-the-ground assessment, desktop research and focus groups to understand the unique strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of our client locations when it comes to attracting talent; collaborate with the Research team to assess strategic outcomes and next steps from quantitative research. 

  • Craft integrated marketing strategies (goals, audiences, tactics, budget, timeline) for cities, regions, states and countries to attract and retain talent. 

  • Write key messages and brand positioning for client locations and collaborate with the design team to produce authentic, engaging brands and creative materials for client talent attraction campaigns; contribute to creative client materials such as videos, marketing collateral and digital content. 

  • Serve as a primary strategist as well as an available content creator/contributor for talent attraction websites, social media programs, special events, media pitches, digital ads and more, collaborating closely with service area experts. 

  • Serve as a “success manager” on client accounts, including drafting agendas and reports, coordinating across Digital, PR, Research and Creative teams to complete deliverables, and communicating ROI to clients and stakeholders. 

  • Serve as an internal point person on all aspects of DCI’s Talent Attraction Marketing efforts to ensure agency-wide coordination of products, research, services, marketing, metrics, etc. 

  • Be an internal and external expert on talent attraction trends, research, examples, strategies, products, people, competitors, campaigns. 

  • Support Talent Attraction practice area thought leadership by developing promotional materials, talking points, decks, reports, and other assets for the annual “Talent Wars” research report and podcast, and related speaking engagements. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-4 years of marketing and communications experience 

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 

  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Strong organization and attention to detail 

  • Experience collaborating effectively internally as part of an integrated team  

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have all necessary approvals to live/work in the U.S. 

  • BA/BS degree
